In order to help end users learn what PalmSurv is designed to do, we've put together an on-line basic
tour. The basic tour contains setup information and shows numerous screenshots from the PalmSurv application.
A user's manual that goes into greater detail about the PalmSurv program will be put together in a later stage of the project. In it will be directions for everything from installing PalmSurv on your Palm to importing word list templates to eliciting data and syncing it back to your computer for use in WordSurv. In the meantime, if you find things that are unclear in the basic tour or other areas that should be covered in greater depth, let us know and we'll try to include them.
Now that a substantially functional beta version of PalmSurv is available for testing, you are invited to explore a step-by-step tour. It provides an interactive overview of the program's main features.
Program Requirements Document
The program requirements for PalmSurv are available as a pdf here (there are a lot of graphics in it, so it's ~3.8MB). This document is currently in version 1.0 and describes the functionality that will be built into PalmSurv in order to make it as usable as possible in the field. If you're curious about where PalmSurv is going and what the final product will look like, you might be interested in it.
